95. From Lockdown Concerts to Dancing in the Streets. Madison Galloway. Fergus, Ontario. 01/31/23

Dave transcends time and space to talk with and thank Madison Galloway for her Lockdown Virtual Concert Series.  In 2019 Madison released her second album, Moon and Mercury.  In 2022 she had planned to perform in support of her album but  the pandemy struck!  During the first Lockdown Madison started performing virtually for thousands of fans around the world.  In 2022 when the Great Reopening happened Madison started getting people dancing in the streets! Dave was one of them as he was able to catch several of her shows and get some merch.  Madison addresses complex issues in her lyrics (e.g., Reconciliation, caring for the planet, equality and justice for all, and coming together in times of division).  Dave and Madison discuss these themes in relation to three of her songs, Season of Treason, The River, and Open Your Eyes.

This episode was recorded on January 31, 2023. Madison and Dave discuss Groundhog Day on February 2 and wish everyone a Happy Black History Month!
